The team behind your Dorset property review.
Dorset Solar is a local service run through an experienced MCS-certified installation team. It exists so Dorset homeowners can find out what suits their own property before committing to anything, starting with a survey.

Accredited, and checkable.
The installation team behind Dorset Solar is MCS certified, the recognised standard for small-scale solar and battery installation and needed for most export tariffs and grant schemes. It is also TrustMark registered, a government-endorsed scheme for work in and around the home. Having a certified, registered installer on record helps long after the job, whether that means a warranty claim, a change of supplier or selling a home with panels on the roof.
Where they apply, HIES protection and EPVS validation add consumer safeguards and independent checks on performance assumptions. These accreditations are held by the installation team, not by the Dorset Solar brand itself, and full company details are in our Privacy Policy.

How we check the numbers.
A proposal is built from your property, not a template. We start from the roof, shading and your electricity use, model expected annual generation and keep the assumptions visible so you can see what the projected benefit rests on. Where EPVS validation applies, the performance assumptions are independently checked.
Before a proposal is prepared, a member of the solar team may contact you to clarify details. The survey then confirms the roof, shading and existing electrics in person.
From first question to switch-on.
Tell us about the property
A few quick questions about the house and how you use electricity.
Suitability check
We see whether solar looks worthwhile and what the next step should be.
Survey and proposal
A surveyor visits, then you receive an itemised proposal in writing.
Installation
Fitting usually takes one to two days, with a walk-through before the installer leaves.
Solar, storage and charging, planned together.
Solar, storage and charging can be planned as one system or added one at a time. See solar panel installation, battery storage and home EV charging for how each works. Dorset homes range from Victorian seafront terraces in Bournemouth and Weymouth to stone and thatch around Sherborne and Blandford Forum, and many coastal properties sit inside the Dorset National Landscape or a conservation area. We check what that means for your property at the survey, rather than assuming one answer fits the county.
Every system comes with manufacturer product and performance warranties plus workmanship cover, and exact terms are confirmed in your proposal.
Review your property
Tell us a little about your home and what you're considering. We'll use it to review likely suitability and the next step.
Free and no obligation. Asking about payment options is not a finance application and won't affect your credit file.
No obligation to proceed. If the property looks suitable, a member of the solar team may contact you to clarify the details before a proposal is prepared.
